Betz also spoke about the health benefits of paw cleaning with Dr. Jason Nicholas, BVMS, of Preventive Vet. Nicholas explained that paws can attract intestinal parasites and viruses, which are then transmitted internally by licking or chewing. Keeping your dog’s paws clean can be a preventive treatment.
