On this day in 1613 Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre burned down after a prop cannon misfired, settling the structure aflame. No one was seriously injured or killed and the theatre was rebuilt in the following year. You may use this page to declaim loudly, recite verse, or pursue areas of freewheeling, off topic discourse.
